Quentin Rood, appearing in-game as Quentin, is a recurring GearHead 1 character. He is the owner of Ki Rin MegaMart, and the shopkeeper, mechanic and general all-purpose handyman of Hogye village.
He sponsored Vikki Shingo's first mecha arena match. The player can also choose to receive varying degrees of assistance from him in the beginning of the game.
- By asking Megi for the "tutorial", you are directed to Quentin, who presents you with an essentially limitless inventory you can buy starting weapons and armour from.
- You are then offered a job cleaning the Mecha Sporch locker room, from which you can receive some money and a Corsair.
- Quentin then offers to teach you the basics of mecha piloting, and if you go along, you get a decent dose of starting XP.
