In GearHead 2, mecha can be packaged with themes, sets of weapons based on a certain concept. Theme mecha have a custom name and color, and are often tougher than their default models. However, they may be heavier too, and thus less mobile or accurate.
Theme mecha are usually only seen in major battles or duels. They can be either obtained through promotions or won from opponents. Occasionally one will come across shops that will stock a few theme mecha.
Naming[]
Theme mecha have a two-part random generated name which replaces the mech's designation. The name is always based on the theme used.

Pyromaniac[]
A fire-based theme. Most weapons have either the BURN or BRUTAL attributes.
