Always a crowd favorite, the Secutor packs an impressive array of loud and destructive weapons.
The Secutor is a mid-range battroid used by the Pro Duelist Association. Produced by Ran Magnus of Earth, this is one of very few mecha designed specifically for the arena.
In many ways the Secutor is the quintessential duelist mecha. It has a head-mounted cockpit and a high efficiency engine. Both of these features improve handling, but just as importantly they demonstrate a pilot’s bravado. The weapons carried by the Secutor are large and unsubtle. It has a 4.5 ton morningstar, a rapid firing chain cannon, and a 4-rack of Leveler Missiles.
The upper body of the Secutor houses heavy actuators, while the lower body contains hoverjets. The mecha is heavily armored all over, so two Secutors facing off in the arena can keep bashing one another for a long and destructive fight. A common modification is to install a computer in the body to improve this mecha’s already quite good handling characteristics.
Secutors are occasionally seen outside of the arena. If you own one of these mecha you can claim to have won it in a tournament, though in actual fact most Secutors are purchased normally from registered Pro Duelist Association dealers. When using this mecha in a real fight the short-ranged arena weapons will usually be dropped in favor of longer range armaments. Thanks to its reinforced actuators, the Secutor can easily be used as an artillery carrier or a heavy striker.
