The bus transit system connects all Federated Territories cities. This is a safe, reasonably inexpensive way to avoid that pesky Aegis Overlord member who is waiting to ambush you outside the city. However once you have a powerful mecha and perhaps a few lancemates, there is little reason to travel by bus, as a hovering mecha can move much more quickly on the world map and perhaps gain loot from random bandit encounters along the way.
Routes and prices are calculated based on map distance. Prices are fixed, not influenced by Shopping skill or relationship level with the bus dispatcher. Wujung has routes to nearly all other terminals. At the other extreme, Namok and Last Hope only have a single route each, even though Namok is a major city.

On arriving in a city, the PC will not necessarily start near the bus terminal building of that town. This means that taking a bus route with intermediate stops (for example Namok -> Gyori -> Snake Lake -> Ipshil) requires a bit of walking to go to the next building. Find it by looking at the doors. If you already know the name of the bus dispatcher, then call with Shift+T instead.
Dead Zone cities such as Hwang-Sa and Markheim Fortress are outside of the Federated Territories and not connected by bus.
